 In September 2005, TRU ISAP organized the first-ever TRU Amazing Race. Fifteen teams consisting of two Canadian and two International Students were given tasks and challenges to complete around Kamloops. The objective was to highlight and create an awareness of local businesses, attractions, and historical sites available in our community.

A second, equally successful edition of the race was held in September 2006. The 2006 race featured a number of challenging new events, and was again the result of wide support and participation from throughout TRU and the Kamloops community.
