Horticulture Certificate and
Diploma in Horticulture and Management
Two programs are available: a one-year certificate and a diploma (which may be earned with a second year of study after the certificate program).
The certificate program provides students with basic training for employment in a variety of areas within the horticulture field, such as: landscaping, grounds maintenance, and nursery or greenhouse technicians. The program is highly practical, with about 70% of the time being spent in hands-on skill development.
The diploma program is designed for certificate graduates who wish to increase their business knowledge and skills to enhance their opportunities in the retail horticulture trade at a supervisory or management level. The program will also provide valuable training for persons who operate or plan to operate their own horticultural business.
