Kamloops is also a frequent site for regional, provincial, and national athletic competitions, and the city is home to an impressive range of sports facilities.

Its downtown arena, the Interior Savings Centre is the centrepiece for major events in the city. With a seating capacity of 6,400, it is the perfect location for trade shows, sporting events, and major performances. The Interior Savings Centre is also the home of the Western Hockey League’s Kamloops Blazers, one of the most successful junior hockey teams in Canada.

The McArthur Island Sports and Events Centre is a leading community centre for sports and includes an Olympic-sized ice rink.

Located on the TRU campus, the Tournament Capital Centre is a major facility for amateur sport. The Centre features a new resurfaced running track and a new sports field with artificial turf surface that can accommodate international soccer, football, and many other sports.

The Centre’s outdoor Hillside Stadium has a 1000-seat grandstand, lighting, and parking for 300 cars. The new turf surface at Hillside Stadium is the first monofilament turf field in North America to be given a FIFA-recommended 1-Star certificate.

The Field House at the Tournament Capital Centre is a new 65,000-square-foot facility with a 200-metre six-lane indoor track and seating for 2,200 spectators.
