Sample Training and Consulting Projects

work_project_chinaFor example, the university has successfully delivered extensive programs of specialized English language training and teacher training as well as a landmark symposium on respiratory technology in Southeast Asia, customized respiratory therapy programs in China (for the Ministry of Health in Hunan Province and Hunan People's Hospital), tourism development training for indigenous groups in Chile (for the Corporación Nacional de Desarrollo Indígena [CONADI] and delivered in partnership with the Kamloops Indian Band), technical skills training for mine workers in Jamaica (for Kaiser Aluminum and ALCAN), and a series of training programs to help prepare one of China’s leading telecommunications providers for the 2008 Beijing Olympics.

Most recently, TRU has signed a Protocol of Cooperation with China Radio and Television University in Beijing—the largest open university in the world.
